I recently watched the movie On the Edge of Love, an beautiful and intense romantic drama about 2 couples in war torn Wales in the 1940s. both Keira Knightly and Sienna Miller star in the film, and their styling alone makes it a film to see. even though they are living on the edge of poverty in a remote coastal town, they have a uniform of fitted floral dresses, a cozy cardigans, wellies, and chic little accessories.

Just watched a trailer for this movie after reading your post. I had never heard of it before–looks great.

The clothes look that perfect amount of girly, while also being casual and somehow, perfectly worn in. I love the wool socks.
